So the series of tubes is ablaze with nerdgasms over the Watchmen trailer. Does that mean I’m the only one worried? I lurved the comic, read it at least eleventy-billion times, but this looks almost a little too comic-booky. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m a fanboy to the nth degree and I’ll go see it in the theater, but with all the neon colors, doesn’t it remind anyone of Joel Schumacher?

on to TDK: yes Ledger was effin’ brilliant, but the Oscar committee is chock full o’ haters and I was going to say he would be lucky to be nominated, but can a dead person be lucky? Point 2: Yes Bale’s Bat-voice was a bit overdone, but when that’s the worst thing in the movie, can you really complain? Point C: Maggie Gyllenhall is the opposite of sexy. You have been trying to convince me for years that she is attractive. I’m not buying it. Why on earth would a billionaire playboy want a sad-faced turtle when he’s with a goddamned Russian ballerina? She’s like a slightly-more-attractive Kirsten Dunst.

I had genuine interest in understanding this old guy/young girl thing and offered a few funny and honest theories (centering around the $ for sex exchange at the worst of such relationships). Obviously I was a bit naive as I discovered the heart of the issue centers on blog postings by twenty something guys about older guys and young girls. Ignorance was bliss in comparison. In unsurprising unrelated news I can’t figure out why I’m still single when I know there’s a perfect forty eight year old woman out there for me that can overlook my internet immaturity and appreciate me for my body instead.
