Confession #2
I probably shouldn’t be admitting this but one of my all time biggest guilty pleasures is Michael Bay’s ‘The Rock’. Ultimate dumb summer movie. Big, loud, melodramatic, every sequence has been ripped off from another movie (from Temple of Doom to Bullitt to Aliens to Pulp Fiction). Every actor is squinting, sneering, scowling, and talking with forced conviction. And the damn thing is shot like a Mt. Dew commercial. I love it.
